Travis Van Roekel, DDS

Dr. Travis Van Roekel earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics after completing his bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Dordt University.

Dr. Van Roekel offers comprehensive dental care. Taking a foundational approach to dental care, he believes good dental health begins with preventative, routine care. He encourages his patients to maintain good oral health, as this can positively affect a patient’s overall health and well-being.

Dr. Van Roekel has a special interest in orthodontics and is Invisalign® certified. He also specializes in the placement of dental implants. He completed extensive training in dental implants through the Restorative Driven Implants program.

When he’s not seeing patients, Travis spends time outdoors hunting, fishing, golfing, biking and running. During football season, he enjoys cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Green Bay Packers. While at Iowa, he volunteered at Iowa Mission of Mercy. During this time, he provided free care to patients who may not have been able to afford dental care. He looks forward to continuing to volunteer within the community.

Desirae Hedlund, DDS

Dr. Desirae Hedlund graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2023 after completing her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and health at Iowa State University in 2019. Her strong academic foundation fuels her commitment to patient health and well-being.

With a focus on preventive care, Dr. Hedlund integrates the latest dental technology to provide high-quality, personalized treatments. She provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages, fostering an environment where they feel informed, comfortable and supported. Dr. Hedlund is dedicated to patient education and building trust through compassionate care.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Hedlund enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to new places. A native of the Le Mars area, she is excited to support and contribute to her local community. Always eager to expand her knowledge, she participates in continuing education to stay current with advancements in modern dentistry.
