Tammy S. Rhea, DDS
Dr. Rhea earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1988. From 1988 to 1990 she remained at UMKC School of Dentistry, where she was an assistant clinical instructor in the Department of Periodontology. In 1990, she took an Associateship in Sioux City and has been practicing in Northwest Iowa since.
Dr. Rhea practices all aspects of general dentistry but has had in-depth training in occlusion from the Dawson Center for Advanced Dentistry in St. Petersburg, FL.
In 2015, Dr. Rhea completed a mini-residency for adult sleep apnea and craniofacial pain to offer non-invasive, painless oral appliance therapy for the treatment of sleep apnea. She is currently completing training in myofunctional appliance therapy for child sleep apnea.
Dr. Rhea is a member of the American Dental Academy, Iowa Dental Academy, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and the 3M Council for Innovative Dentistry.
2008 marked the opening of Dr. Rhea’s beautiful, spacious, state-of-the-art facility in LeMars. Her vision was to build a facility that would reflect the quality of care she and her staff provide.
Dr. Rhea’s family keeps her busy. She joins her husband, John, at school and sporting events for their two children, Kenny and Sophia. The family enjoys traveling together and, during football season, can be found cheering on their favorite team, the Green Bay Packers.
Tammy is committed to a healthy lifestyle and finds time to bike, run, and lift weights every day. She is committed to her community, donating her time, creativity and endless energy to many local causes and organizations, including the LeMars Main Street Project, Good Samaritan Spring Fling, Friends of St. Mary’s Ball, Advisory Board for the Good Samaritan Center. Tammy is a lay director and serves on the finance and restoration committees for St. Mary’s Church in Remsen.
Steven V. Ready, DDS
Dr. Ready graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2013 with a bachelor’s in biotechnology and chemistry minor. He then enrolled at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry and graduated with Distinction with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2017. He immediately joined Dr. Rhea in her general dental practice.
Dr. Ready practices and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, and has completed additional training in placing dental implants. He enjoys learning and keeping up to date with new advances and techniques to give the best care for his patients.
Dr. Ready is a member of the American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Ready grew up on a farm near the small town of Scribner, NE. He and his wife, Kayci, have two children, Seth and Warren. They enjoy cheering for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Green Bay Packers during football season.
Outside of the office, Dr. Ready enjoys the outdoors: camping, fishing, and hunting; he also likes to read, play with his kids, and watch John Wayne movies.
